Letter From Linda, 57

“I used to think shapewear was only for younger women or special occasions. Something uncomfortable that you wore for a few hours and couldn’t wait to take off.
But after my mid-50s, I started noticing small things. Dresses didn’t sit the same way anymore. Certain fabrics suddenly felt less flattering. I became more aware of adjusting my clothes constantly whenever we went out.
What surprised me wasn’t that shapewear made me look dramatically different. It didn’t. What changed was how comfortable I felt wearing the clothes I already owned.
I stopped pulling at fabric around my waist. I stopped worrying about every angle in photos. I stood differently. More relaxed. More secure.
For me, it wasn’t about looking younger. It was about feeling put together again without overthinking it.
That feeling matters more than I expected.”
